Lulu Menziwa is probably one of the most talked-about teachers on Facebook. We previously told you about her after she was criticized on social media for a picture she posted on her Twitter account where she shows herself teaching in clothes that many described as “too provocative for her students”. For a group of people, her look seemed sexy, others hated it, and there were also those who defended her, finding her outfit quite normal.
After an article where we showed 14 photos that the teacher has in her networks, a debate was also generated within the Upsocl community, where opinions clashed, demonstrating the different views that exist around what can be considered as “dress code“. Fashion choices ranging from hats to tight jeans have been discussed so far.
“She can dress and show whatever she wants, but there are times and places where she can’t, for example in a school. It’s not about what she shows or doesn’t show, it’s about how she presents herself.”

Others consider, however, that no moral dress code has been broken and that the problem isn’t what she wears, but her body, and this “isn’t open to criticism”.
“Even if she wears a school uniform for teachers, a suit or pants, her body shape isn’t going to change, so the logic of wanting to put her in different clothes is ridiculous.”
–Hammel F. in Upsocl–
Lulu Menziwa has also started to become known for her flashy way of dressing on a daily basis. Outside of work, she poses for photos where she’s not ashamed to show off her body. Whether in the pool or on the street, she seems to be proud of what she has, and this has also made some people want to go back to school to be taught by this teacher.
There is also the argument that Menziwa chooses to “show too much” on her public account on social media. Many people feel that, as a teacher, she should think about the fact that her own students can see the pictures she uploads.
“The problem isn’t her wardrobe but the content she uploads on social media. As teachers, we have to take care of our image. In fact, our profession puts us in the spotlight of an entire community. The way I see it, she’s practically an influencer. She’s pretty, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to pay attention to how she presents herself on social media.”

As we’ve previously reported, the teacher hasn’t received any complaints from the school or her students’ parents. She hasn’t made any reference to what happened either, but days after her networks exploded, she uploaded another photograph in a classroom in front of a blackboard, perhaps to send the message that she has nothing to worry about.
